Decanuclear nickel cages

A further decanuclear nickel cage contains two fused pentanuclear nickel(II) metallocrowns. Decanuclear nickel equivalents of 83 have also been made (179). [Niio(OH)4(mhp)io(02CCMe3)6(MeOH)2] and [Niio(OH)4(mhp)io (02CCMe3)6(H20)2] contain the same polyhedral core, which can be described as a pentacapped centered trigonal prism missing an edge of the prism. No magnetic studies of these cages have been reported.
