New cyclic methylseleno imino compounds were synthesized from (4/ )-MCTT (I) or D-cysteine methyl ester (154) (Scheme 28) (86JOC4737). 

Selenoamino acids amino acids containing selenium (Se) in plaee of sulfur (S), e.g. Se-methylseleno-cysteine. They are formed in plants growing on Se-rich soils. See Selenium.
