Cysteamine conversion

Because of the easy oxidation of cysteamine one has to assume that also cystamine is intermediately formed. Adams et al. (1) studied the conversion of cysteamine into cystamine by means of pulse radiolysis. They could observe the production of cystamine in the same way as shown by Reactions 14 and 15. [Pg.345]

Other pathways for the partial degradation of cysteine are its conversion to cysteamine and taurine. These processes are discussed in Chapter 16. [Pg.112]
