Cyclopentadienyl bis trimethylphosphine rhodium I

CoCl(PMe3)3 + UC5H5----- - Co(T)-C5H5)(PMe3)2 + PMe3 -I- LiCl [Pg.160]

The original procedures for CoQ(PMe3)3 (ref. 8) and CsH5Co(PMe3)2 (ref. 9) were modified as described next. [Pg.160]

In a 20-mL Schlenk tube, equipped with a nitrogen inlet, a reflux condenser, and a magnetic stirring bar, 2.09 g (11.06 nunol) of Co(ri-C5H5)2 (ref. 20) and 7 mL (59.4 mmol) of P(OMe)3 are heated under reflux for 3 days. After cooling to room temperature, excess of P(OMe)3 is removed in vacuo (—15 torr), and the oily residue is distilled at —149° and —10 torr using a short path distillation apparatus. The distilled product is dissolved in pentane (—10 mL), and the pentane solution is concentrated in vacuo. [Pg.162]

Cooling to------30 gives red-brown air-sensitive crystals that are filtered [Pg.162]
