The TL curves obtained are characteristic of a specific sample or substance and yield information concerning specific impurities present or indicate that the sample has had certain heat treatments or physical histories. However, glow curves are not suitable for the analysis of chemical compounds but are useful for identification and control purposes only. This is illustrated by the TL curves for several dolomite and calcite samples in Figure 9.37. The curves definitely show differences based on the composition of the sample but could hardly be used for the analysis of, say, the magnesium or calcium contents. [Pg.603]

Approximation is only a method of harmonic shape control by the position of control vertices of a control polygon. Decreasing the distances between the curve and the control points is not a goal. Approximation replaced the troublesome curve definition by point-tangent pairs at that time. [Pg.86]

Most line and curve definitions rely on point definitions. Points are defined in the context of a coordinate system iPf), a curve (Pc), or a surface (Pf. A point is a geometric entity as defined in the STEP (Figure 7-3). [Pg.229]

Experimental (circles) and calculated magnetic moment as function of temperature. Values calculated for a dimeric compound using g=200, ///ic= — 7cm" , S= (solid curve) and g = 2.00, J//ic= — Scm (dashed curve). Definition of J uncertain [68R7],... [Pg.903]

BlowView simulation result for the final product wall thickness is shown at Figure 3. This 2D curve definition of wall thickness was plotted from the last blow sequence of the project based on XY plane. [Pg.1222]
