The synthesis of our first electrocatalyst was accomplished by reacting CpRu(Cl)(PPh3)(r -dppm) with Pt(COD)Cl2 to afford the Ru/Pt complex CpRu(PPh3)(p-Cl)(p-dppm)PtCl2 (I) (34), Cyclic voltammetry of complex 1 exhibits three redox couples (JJ) (Figure 2, Table I which have been assigned to the reversible Ru(II/III), irreversible Pt(II/IV) and Ru(III/IV) oxidation processes, respectively. [Pg.132]
