Cp2LnX Compounds

Electron density calculations have been carried out on Gp2ScR (R=H, Me, Et, Prn, vinyl, acetylide). Geometry optimizations revealed an agostic interaction for R= Et, whereas Me and Pr are bonded to the metal center without agostic interactions. Other density functional studies have been carried out on the complexes Cp2LnCl and Cp2LnX(THF) (Ln = La-Lu X = F, Cl, Br, I). In these mixed ligand complexes, Ln-Cp and Ln-THF bonds are [Pg.41]

The Lewis base-free cationic lanthanide metallocene complexes of the type [Cp 2Ln]Y (Y = BPhF, CBnBr6H6, Cp = CsH3(SiMe3)2-l,3) were synthesized by treatment of unsolvated Cp 2Ln(n) or [Cp 2LnI]2 with lequiv. of Ag(l)Y or with two molar equivalents of Ag(CB 11 Bq,I f.) in toluene at room temperature. The reactivity of these complexes with respect to the coordinating nature of the counter ions was investigated.315 [Pg.42]

The structures of complexes (Me5C5)6Yb5(jLi4-F)(p3-F)2(iLi-F)6 [41] (Fig.III.31) and (Me5C5)5Yb5( i3-0)( Li3-Cl)(p,-Cl)7(0Et2)2 [238] (Fig.III.32) show that the trivalent Cp2LnX compounds may have more complicated structures. [Pg.210]

Bimetallic complexes of ate-type, like Cp2LnX compounds, display IR spectra, which are difficult to interpret [215]. On the background of weak broad bands, the bands of a middle (sometimes strong) intensity, caused by the vibration of solvated base, are observed. [Pg.233]

A typical for organolanthanoid chemistry reaction is the cleavage of coordinative THF. When Cp2LnX compounds take part in these processes the corresponding alkoxide Cp2LuO(CH2)4X is formed [88, 100]. [Pg.405]
