Heart failure coxib

The antihypertensive and diuretic effects of the ioop diuretics appear to be reduced by NSAIDs, inciuding coxibs, although the extent of this interaction iargeiy depends on individual NSAIDs. Diuretics increase the risk of NSADI-induced acute renal failure. The concurrent use of NSAIDs with ioop diuretics may exacerbate congestive heart faiiure and increase the risk of hospitalisation. [Pg.949]
