Corticosterone production rate

Cortisol and corticosterone production rates have been measured by isotope dilution by means of techniques developed for adults (B12, Kl, L17). There appears to be no reason why these should not be satisfactory. 

Cortisol production rates have also been measured, and when corrected for surface area little change is shown during the first 2.5 months (B12, Kl), though on average the levels are approximately 1.5 times those in adults. The corticosterone production rate during the first 2 months when corrected for surface area is more than three times that in the adult (L6).
