Copper-mediated cross-coupling

Palladium And/Or Copper-Mediated Cross-Coupling Reactions Between 1-Alkynes And Vinyl, Aryl, 1-Alkynyl, 1,2-Propadienyl, Propargyl And Allylic Halides Or Related Compounds. A Review, Rossi. R. Carpita, A. Beilina, F. Org. Prep. Proceed. Int., 1995, 27, 129... [Pg.22]

The involvement of organocopper intermediates in various cross-coupling reactions carried out in the presence of Cu1 is often suggested, although in the majority of cases no experimental proof is provided, and the actual role of Cu1 may be different (Section 9.6.3.2.1). The potential of copper-mediated cross-coupling can be shown by the stereospecific reaction of 3-trimethylsilylallylic alcohols, which takes place via a prior transmetalation of Si to Cu (37).157... [Pg.319]

The mechanism of the copper-mediated cross-coupling of iodoarenes and perfluoroalkyl iodides is supposed to be similar to that of related reactions involving the interaction of halogenoarenes with cuprous salts of organic nucleophilic anions (for example CuCN) [55] (Scheme 2.122). First a solvated perfluoroalkyl copper(I) complex is formed. This then coordinates to the iodoarene followed by exchange of ligands [56]. Several electron-transfer steps are probably involved in this process. [Pg.109]
