Am. Chem. Soc. 62, 3203 (1940). Inhibits vitamin B6 in chick, rat, mouse, dog, monkey, and man. Readily produces symptoms of vitamin B( deficiency Mueller, Vilter, J. Ciin. Invest. 29, 193 (1950). 

Cyanoacrylate was discovered in 1942 by American researchers Harry Coover (1919- ) and Fred Joiner, employees of the Eastman Kodak Laboratories, in Rochester, New York. 

The commercial success of cyanoacrylates as glues was assured in 1959 when Harry Coover appeared on the television show l i/e Cot a Secret and used the product to lift host Cary Moore off the floor with a single drop of Eastman Kodak s Super Glue .

Cyanoacrylates are extremely rapid curing adhesives known as instant adhesive or Super glue. These adhesives were discovered by accident by Dr Harry Coover s group at Eastman Chemical Company while doing some basic research on characterizing certain polymers derived from a chemical called ethylene.
