Computer Database Design Selection Procedure

A polymer material property database is provided with this text in Microsoft Excel format. At present, 48 materials are included in the database. The user can easily add materials to the database if desired. Table 6.8 gives the names and descriptions of the polymers in the files Polymer.xls. Some of the names are the common names, for example, LDPE. Others were created to be descriptive, for example, glass-reinforced epoxy as EPGR.
