Compounds heteropolynuclear

The latter compounds form the wellknown iodomercurates and with the former compounds heteropolynuclear complexes are formed. In concentrated solutions (over 10 M) Bil reacts with Hgl in a 1 3 ratio, and a compound Hg BiyDMF) could be prepared. In most of the cases oily substances were obtained. To determine the molecular weight of complexes formed, sedimentation experiments were performed in collaboration with Dr. A.CZUPPON. [Pg.345]

Within each chapter the submissions are ordered, as far as possible, according to the columns of the periodic table. In Chapter 5, homopolynu-clear complexes are presented first, followed by heteropolynuclear compounds. Many submissions, however, contain several parts. As a consequence, the location of some of the procedures can not adhere to this general sequence. [Pg.454]

This Table names a large number of homoatomic and binary compounds and species, and some heteropolynuclear entities, and thus may be used as a reference for names of simple compounds and a source of examples to guide in the naming of further compounds. It may be necessary to browse the Table to find (families of) compounds that match those of interest. For example, all the oxides of potassium are named corresponding compounds of the other alkali metals, not included here, are named analogously. Several silicon and germanium hydride species are named names for corresponding tin and lead species are not necessarily included. [Pg.280]

The first Cr111 complexes with A)A ,-diphenyhh io u rea ([Cr(L9)3], characterized by X-ray crystallography),685 2-mercaptopyridine-A-oxide ([Cr(L10)3]),686 and 2-mercaptoethylamine (fac-,S -[Cr( L11 )3])687 have been described. The latter complex has been used for the synthesis of A -bridged heteropolynuclear compounds (Section 4.6.5.9.12). 87 The recent interest in the Cr111 complexes of thiosemicarbazide derivatives (such as [CrL12(acac)2]) is related to their potential antibacterial, antiviral, or antitumor activities.688-693... [Pg.358]

The controlled synthesis of Ti-d8 early-late heteropolynuclear diolefin and carbonyl clusters has been reported. The synthetic approach was based on deprotonation reactions involving Gp2Ti(SH)2 and appropriate rhodium and iridium diolefin and carbonyl compounds. The catalytic activity of some representative Ti-Rh compounds toward alkene hydroformylation has been explored.1778... [Pg.634]

The axial positions of metal salen complexes are easily reacted with hexacyanomet-allates. The resulting compounds vary in nuclearity and dimensionality. A hexa-cyanometallate can coordinate 1-6 metal salen units and the metal salen unit can adopt 1 or 2 hexacyanometallate in its axial positions. Thus, the reaction of a hexacyanometallate and a metal salen unit can lead to discrete heteropolynuclear complexes (OD) of various nuclearity, but also ID chains, 2D sheets, and 3D networks can result [163-172], While these compounds exhibit interesting properties, the nuclearity and the dimensionality is difficult to control. [Pg.81]
