Fowler s Solution Solution of Arsenite of Potassa. Boil grains ar-senious acid (in small pieces), and 64 grains bicarbonate of potassa, in 12 flnid ounces water, until tho acid is entirely dissolved. When cold, add i fluid ounce compound spirit of lavender, and sufBcient distilled water to make tho whole mixture measure a pint. (Cr.. V. Ph.)... 

Golden Tincture. Take 3 parts Buljphuric ether, 2 parts acetated tincture of opium, and 1 part compound spirit of lavender. 

CbApman a Copaiba Mixture. Make a mixture of i ounce copaiba, i fluid onnee sweet spirits of nitre, 2 dxacbms powdered acacia, 1 drachm sugar, 4 fluid ounosa distilled water, 2 fluitl drachms compound spirit of lavender, and 1 fluid drachm tincture of opium. D( sc, a table-spoonful 3 times a day. A specific remedy for gonorrhoea. 

Mettauer a Aperient Solution. Take of socotriue aloes, 24 ounces super-carbonate of soda, 6 drachms water, 4 pints compound spirits of lavender, 2 ounces. After digesting 14 days, the clear liquor may be either decanted or allowed to remain. Age is said to improve both the pow-ers and taste of the solution. The common dose is I drachm which may bo increased, if necessary, to an ounce. It is recommended as a raluablo remedy in most forms of constipation, taken soon after meals. 

Spackman a Copaiba Mixture. Mix together 2 drachms syrup of gum-arabic i ounce balsam of copaiba 24 drops oil of cubebs 1 ounce syrup of balsam of tolu ouucc each sweet spirits of nitre and compound tincture of opium 20 drops tincture of opium 3 drops oil of laveneW, and 3 drachms compound spirits of lavender. Dose, a table-spoonful 3 limes a day. 

To Restrain Perspiration, luring water, 2 ounces diluted sulphuric acid, 40 drops compound spirits of lavender, 2 drachms take a table-spoonful twice a day. 

Diarrhea Tincture. Compound tincture of myrrh, 5 ounces tincture of rhubarb, and spirits of lavender, of each 5 ounces tincture of opium, 3 ounces oils of anise and cinnamon, with gam camphor and tartaric acid, of each ounce. Mix. Dose, 1 tea-spoonful in a littlo warm water sweetened with loaf sugar repeat after each passage. This is a magic remedy.
