Combinatorial catalysis screening methodology

Organometallic catalysis is one of the most vigorous areas of homogeneous catalysis as a whole, especially in relation to commercial applications and applications to organic synthesis. The majority of the catalytic cycles proposed to date involve a rather small set of reaction types. Asymmetric versions of homogeneous catalysts are of particular current importance. New methodologies, such as combinatorial methods and rapid screening, are likely to influence the development of the field in the next decade. [Pg.1760]
