As a result of the chain structure of a polymer molecule a preferred orientation of the chain elements exists in the direction of vector h. If d is the angle formed by chain element AL and direction h (Fig. 16), it follows that for any chain conformation corresponding to a given value of h the value of cos averaged over all chain elements is given by... 

The RuCo3 tetrahedron (Ru-Co (average), 2.63 A Co-Co (average), 2.53 A) has the apical site occupied by the Ruthenium atom, which bears three terminal carbonyls. Each one of the three basal cobalt atoms has two terminal carbonyls. In addition, each Co-Co edge is p-bridged by a carbonyl group lying in the basal plane.
