Clusters with ligands which could come from water

3 Clusters with ligands which could come from water [Pg.812]

In the reaction sequence illustrated in Fig. 14 a water-derived oxo complex has been isolated and structurally characterized. The oxo ligand originates from water and not from Me3NO it has been shown that the complex is not formed in rigorously anhydrous solvents, and that the parent cluster reacts with water giving the 0X0 derivative. [Pg.816]

Another example is the heptanuclear cluster (CpMo)4Co3(/ 3-OH)(//3-CPh)(/ 5-C)( -CO)3(CO)3, obtained from [CpMo(CO)3]2 and Co2(CO)g(C2Ph2) under reflux in o-xylene.  [Pg.816]
