Note Purchaser should inform the manufacturer about the solubility of the (dissolved) sohd in the circulating liquor at different temperatures tendency to crystallise out and abrasive nature of the crystals. This is very important for selecting the MOC and size of the tubes in the calendria and the type of impellers of the circulation pump. 

For production of coarser crystals the principle of circulation a suspension has to be left, as it is reahsed in the fluidised-bed crystallisers where only clear liquor is circulated (Figure 9.5c) and therefore the nucleation rate drastically reduced. The achievable crystal sizes reach to 5 mm and more.
