Circular dichroism spectra poly

We therefore carried out a series of studies on the circular dichroism spectrum of poly(i -oxypropylene) in a number of solvents in the vacuum ultraviolet region under the cooperation with W.C. Johnson, Oregon State University. In the circular dichroism(CD) spectra of poly(/ -oxypropylene), two CD bands were observed for cyclohexane, acetonitrile, and trifluoroethanol(TFE) solutions. 

In a more recent study using circular dichroism, Pflumm and Beychok (313) have fitted the observed curve for RNase-A (see Figs. 11c and d) weighted mixtures of the characteristic bands for helix from poly-L-glutamic acid and / structure from poly-L-lysine. The data are compatible with 11.5% helix and 33% / conformation. Ribonuclease-S and RNase-A have almost identical CD spectra from 198 to 300 nm. The spectrum of S-protein is markedly different from the other two. 

In circular dichroism study on the binding of an octamer of PepNA having thymine and a terminal lysine, a right-handed triplex was found to form between the PepNA and poly(dA) [60].
