Three groups of workers have published the results of their investigations of the tetranortriterpenoids from Chukrasia tabularis. The wood contained chuk-rasins A (83), B (84), C (85), D (86), and E (87), all close relatives of bussein, and tabularin (88), which is of special interest since it lacks the oxygenation necessary for formation of the orthoacetate.
