Cholestasis biliary excretion impairment

In patients with cholestasis, biliary excretion may be impaired, reducing the overall drug exposure, which could lead to decreased efficacy. However, such effect has not been reported in the clinical studies involving oral HRT. Studies have also suggested that women who are already jaundiced are most at risk of increased cholestasis with HRT. [Pg.259]
