Chloropicrin analysis

This method of analysis was also used by Dubinin for the determination of chloropicrin in the gas mixtures prepared for the testing of activated carbons.

Berl18 found that gas concentrations can be measured over a wide range with the Haber and Lowe interferometer. An ultraviolet photometer has been used with success by Dole and Klotz19 for the continuous quantitative analysis of either phosgene or chloropicrin. Retentivity... 

Chloropicrin is often analyzed by GC-MS and GC with ECD, as it is used as a component of plant protection agents and as a monitoring substance for testing filtration equipment. Analysis of PS in water by headspace analysis or extraction with n-heptane is often applied.
