The isomeric chloro-l-methylbenzo-2-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptadienes 10a and 10b on heating under reflux in toluene rearrange in almost quantitative yields (90-95 %) to 9-chloro-l -methyl-1 H-benzazepine (11a) and its 6-chloro isomer lib, respectively.37... 

Tricyclic antidepressants such as imipramine (25), clomipramine (26), amitriptyline (27), and doxepine (28) were found to be weak inhibitors of GST Pl-1 in vitro. Inhibition of GST Pl-1 was enhanced with the introduction of a chloro group on the dibenzazepine ring (25 40% inhibition at 15 mM 26 70% inhibition at 10 mM). The same result was observed with the substitution of an oxygen for a carbon in the heptadiene ring (27 18% inhibition at 10 mM 28 48% inhibition at 15 mM) [35],... 

Chloro-l,6-heptadienes underwent alkylation/5-exo cyclization reactions in the presence of alkylaluminum reagents catalyzed by 5 mol% FeCl3 in the presence of PPI13 or DPEphos affording 2-alkylmethylenecyclopentanes in 30-80% yield. A polar two-electron mechanism was formulated for the reaction, but radicals may be involved [88]. 

Results for some other halogenated unsaturated polyhydrocarbons were reported in literature. For example, poly(perfluoro-4-chloro-1,6-heptadiene) upon heating between 320° C and 400° C is reported to completely volatilize [12]. Also, reports on chlorinated rubber show that by heating from ambient to 500° C, it generates almost quantitatively HCI, and in the later stages of reaction CH4, C2H4, and H2 [13],... 

A diene such as l-chloro-2,4-heptadiene has four configurational isomers because each of the double bonds can have either the or the Z configuration. Thus, there are E-E, Z-Z, E-Z, and Z-E isomers. The rules for determining the E and Z configurations were given in Section 3.5. Recall that the Z isomer has the high-priority groups on the same side.
