In chloroform, the decomposition of pentaphenylantimony (3) led to tetraphenylstibonium chloride (7), benzene and a small amount of biphenyl (5). In carbon tetrachloride, the reaction of decomposition of pentaphenylantimony led to tetraphenylstibonium chloride, chlorobenzene and a small amount of biphenyl.
