Chitotriosidase activity

Hollak, C.E.M., van Weely, S., van Oers, M.H.J. and Aerts, J.M.F.G. (1994) Marked elevation of plasma chitotriosidase activity. A novel hallmark of Gaucher disease. Journal of Clinical Investigation 93, 1288-1292. [Pg.216]

When a strongly increased value of chitotriosidase activity is obtained with plasma, such as in Gaucher disease, the assay should be repeated with a 1 50 diluted plasma sample. When chitotriosidase is measured in blood spots from Gaucher patients the incubation time should be reduced to 10 min in order to accurately measure the strongly increased activity. [Pg.363]
