Cheilanthes farinosa

Cheilanthatriol (1), a new fundamental type of sesterterpenoid, has been isolated from the fern Cheilanthes farinosa. The carbon skeleton can be formally derived by cyclization of geranylfarnesol (2), initiated at the isopropylidene end. [Pg.193]

A second type of sesterterpenes including cheilanthatriol (107) has been isolated from the fern Cheilanthes farinosa. This compound appears similar in certain structural aspects to some triterpenes (Khan et al., 1971). [Pg.422]

Cheilanthes farinosa Klf. 5-Hydroxy-7,4 -dimethoxyflavone (Apigenin 7,4 -dimethyl ether) (155) 131... [Pg.238]

Erdtman, H., L. Novotny, and M. Romanuk Flavonols from the Fern Cheilanthes farinosa (Forsk.) Kaulf. Tetrahedron, Suppl. 8, 71 (1966). [Pg.310]
