Checkpoint kinase-1 Chk

As mentioned above, structure-based virtual screening is the dominating technique in the field. Lyne et al [64] from AstraZeneca reported a structure-based docking procedure. They performed a virtual screening campaign for checkpoint kinase-1 (Chk-1 kinase) inhibitors. Inhibition of Chk-1 allows cells with damaged DNA to enter lethal mitosis. Therefore, Chk-1 inhibitors are of interest especially in combination with therapies that induce DNA damage.
