Characteristics of the Microarc Electrolytic-Spark Oxidation Process

Major characteristics of the process of microarc oxidation coating of aluminum placed as an anode in a concentrated sulfuric acid electrolytic system (Kharitonov et al., 1987, 1988) can be summarized in the following ten statements  [Pg.558]

Light emission from the electrolyte-anode interface follows each voltage pulse (above 300 V in the experiments under consideration) with some delay and is well correlated with the cmrent pulse. [Pg.558]

The dmation of the light emission pulses and related current pulses (1-3 mA) are 3-5 ps in the experiments under consideration. [Pg.558]

When the amplitude of cmrent pulses is stabilized, the required voltage V (in volts) grows with the film thickness d (in microns) in accordance with the following empirical formula  [Pg.558]
