Ceramic glass melting plants

Dolomitic quicklime is the form of dolomite used by many glass plants. Dolomitic hydrate is made from the quicklime by adding -20% HjO. It furnishes H2O at 600--700°F, boosting melting speed. However, little dolomitic hydrate is used in ceramics. [Pg.754]
