Gentamicin Cefalotin

The nephrotoxic effects of gentamicin and tobramycin can be increased by cefalotin. This may also occur with other aminoglycosides and cephalosporins. [Pg.286]

A very considerable number of studies and case reports confirm an increase in the incidence of nephrotoxicity when gentamicin or tobramycin - are used with cefalotin. However, some other studies have found no increase in nephrotoxicity with the combination. [Pg.286]
