Catalytic Species and Activity

The BF3 NH2C2H5 can react directly with an epoxide resulting the formation of a monoboroester and HF [Pg.14]

The HF generated then reacts with another BF3 NH2C2H5 to form the salt [Pg.14]

All BF3 and BF3-prepregs species, with the exception of the BF4 NH3 C2H5 salt are susceptible to transformation to less active or nonactive catalytic species. Furthermore, our NMR results indicate that the BF4rNH3 C2H5 salt does not irreversibly chemically react with the prepreg components. [Pg.14]
