Tsuji et al. found that by decarboxylation, propargylic carbonates form aUenylpaUa-dium complexes, which readily undergo a variety of transformations [97]. Thereafter, propargyl derivatives such as propargyl halides, acetates, and carbonates have been used widely in palladium catalysis.
