Cardiovascular disorders pharmacokinetics

Sorkin EM, Clissold SP. Nicardipine. A review of its pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties, and therapeutic efficacy, in the treatment of angina pectoris, hypertension and related cardiovascular disorders. Drugs 1987 33(4) 296-345. [Pg.605]

Both ACE inhibitors and beta blockers lower blood pressure by different mechanisms, and therefore the enhanced Wood pressure-lowering effects of the combination would be expected. No pharmacokinetic interactions have been demonstrated. The combination of an ACE inhibitor and a beta blocker is clinically useful in a number of cardiovascular disorders. [Pg.18]

Although pharmacokinetic information is apparently limited to this drug pair, no significant adverse interaction would be expected between angiotensin It receptor antagonists and beta blockers, and the combination is clinically useful in a number of cardiovascular disorders. [Pg.35]
