Carbohydrates: characteristic chemical oligosaccharides

The sets of chemical shifts of the Man H-l and H-2 signals, which are highly characteristic for the type of branching of the iV-aeetyl-lactosamine type of carbohydrate chain of glycopeptides and related oligosaccharides, are summarized in Table VI. The typical, resonance patterns of the Man H-2 atoms for di-, tri-, tri -, and tetra-antennary chains are compared in Fig. 14.
