Carbamates, restricted rotation

There have been a number of recent studies of restricted rotation about C—N bonds. In dialkylthiocarbamyl derivatives of ferrocene, rotation about the C—N carbamate bond was measured by DNMR and barriers were in the range 64.4 to 67.8 kJ mol" for various alkyl derivatives.
