Calculation of Determinants by the Gauss Method

Therefore, a matrix whose determinant is to be evaluated should first be converted to the triangular form using the Gauss method, and then its determinant should be calculated from the product of the diagonal elements of the triangular matrix. 

Example 2.1 demonstrates the Gauss elimination method with complete pivoting strategy in solving a set of simultaneous linear algebraic equations and in calculating the determinant of the matrix of coefficients.
