Calcium aluminate titanate

Reforming catalyst is available in many shapes and sizes, each with specific advantages according to the suppliers. However, a typical catalyst is, for example, 5/8 in. x 5/8 in. x 3/8 in. Rashig rings [3] containing 16-20% Ni as NiO supported on calcium aluminate, alumina or calcium aluminate titanate [1]. The NiO is reduced to Ni in the presence of steam before use. 

Use of a support made of an alkaline earth metal compound [3 If]. Tribasic calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, calcium fluoride, strontium titanate and magnesium aluminate are optimal supports. 

In addition to the above, preparation in w/o microemulsions of nanoparticles of various other types of compounds, viz. silica-coated iron oxide, Fe203-Ag nanocomposite, oxides of ytrium, erbium, neodymium, vanadium and cobalt, titanates of barium and lead, ferrites of barium, strontium, manganese, cobalt and zinc, oxide superconductors, aluminates, zirconium silicate, barium tungstate, phosphates of calcium, aluminium and zinc, carbonates of calcium and barium, sulphides of molybdenum and sodium, selenides of cadmium and silver etc. have been reported.
