An experiment has been done between the two 3.5 and 2.2m teleseopes at Calar Alto (Esposito et al., 2000), using the ALFA LGS deviee (Davies et al., 2000). A promising reduetion by a faetor of 2.5 was obtained for the tilt variance. As far as I know, this approach is no longer carried on.
