Cadmium Tellurolates

When bis[trifluoromethyl] ditellurium and cadmium powder were stirred in dimethyl-formamide at 20° for 18 hours, cadmium bis[trifluoromethanetellurolate was isolated in quantitative yield as a brown oiP. Solutions of this compound exposed to light decompose to cadmium and bis(trifluoromethyl) ditellurium. [Pg.232]

4-Methylphenyl trimethylsilyl tellurium and cadmium dichloride stirred in tetrahydrofuran at 20° for 14 hours, produced cadmium bis[4-methylhenzenetellurolate] as a bright-yellow solid in 32% yield. The compound decomposed at 200° to cadmium telluride and bis[4-methylphenyl] tellurium. [Pg.232]

When bis[tetramethylammonium] decakis[benzenethiolato]tetracadmate or the corresponding benzeneselenolato cluster was treated in acetone with diphenyl ditellurium. [Pg.232]

The following types of mercury tellurolates were prepared  [Pg.233]
