C-NMR Spectroscopy of Dammarane Type Triterpenes

Carbinyl carbon signals such as the ot-carbons of aglycone alcohols are commonly displaced downfield by about 7 ppm on P-D-glucosylation, p-D-mannosylation, P-L-rhamnosylation and a-L-arabinosylation regardless of the class of alcohols. The paramagnetic shift is somewhat smaller for a-D-glucosylation and P-L-arabinosylation and even more so for a-D-manno-sylation and oc-L-rhamnosylation (Table VI). [Pg.27]
