Buserite Pillared

Catalytic oxy-dehydrogenation of ethane over Keggin-ion pillared layered manganese oxide has been reported by Wong et al. [41,66]. The reaction is carried out on a fixed-bed flow-through system with a diluted catalyst. Keggin-ion pillared catalysts show better performance than Na-buserite, which may be due to the pillaring. However, the selectivity toward ethane is comparable in both systems.
