Bridged Bis borylamine Species

The borylated carbodiimides R2B-N=C=N-BR2 (87) have been obtained by the reaction of (CH3)3SiN=C=NSi(CH3)3 with two equivalents of R2BX, where X = Cl or Br [14]. 

Amlnoboranes Containing More than One Boron Atom 

Reaction of (C2H5)2N-B[C=CSn(CH3)3]2 and [(C2H5)2N]2BC Sn(CH3)3 with (CH3)3B and (C2H5)3B yields the following three 1,2-diborylated ethene derivatives, which have the trimeth-ylstannyl group cis to the dialkylboryl group [17]  

B(2)-B(1)) =146.7. The molecule contains a twofold axis, and the B2C2 ring is planar [19]. 

89c is prepared from [(CH3)3Si]2C=C[B(Cl)N(C3H7-/)2]2 and sodium/potassium alloy in toluene. Mass spectral and NMR data ( Fl, B with 6 B = 31.4 ppm) are given. Reduction by sodium/potassium alloy gives the salt of [89c]2 , for which NMR data are available H, B with 6 B = 12 ppm, Si [20].
