Among BPLPs, BPLP-cysteine (BPLP-Cys, using L-cysteine) and BPLP-serine (BPLP-Ser, using L-serine) display the best fluorescent properties in terms of fluorescence intensity and quantum yield. The quantum yield of BPLP-Cys can be as high as 62.3% (Figure 16.5) [20]. [Pg.267]
