Borane Anions and Their Metallo-derivatives

Rate measurements on the hydrolysis of BH4 in DMSO have led to the suggestion that proton transfer from hydronium ion to BH4 in water uses a water molecule as a proton relay. In DMSO, the rate coefficient is much smaller, because DMSO cannot act in this way, and DMSO H - HBH3 is very unstable.  [Pg.65]

Phase relationships have been elucidated in the LiBH4-M(BH4)2-THF systems (M = Sr or Ba). No solid solutions or double salts are formed. [Pg.65]

Kinetic data have been given for reaction (6) (in liquid ammonia), but no mechanism was proposed.  [Pg.65]

Phase diagrams have been published for the systems NaBH4-NaC104-H20 ° and Mg(BH4)2-THF/  [Pg.66]

bands due to BH4 in CsCl lattices have been assigned. It appears that in the presence of the BH4 the CsCl is present both as simple cubic and as f.c.c. crystals.  [Pg.66]
