Bonds to Bromine or Iodine

Direct replacement of one or two iodine atoms in PI3 by organic groups is reported for the first time.352 The successful reactions involved either one or two moles of 4-(trimethylsilyl)morpholine, giving (46 n = 1 or 2) even with an excess of the reagent it was not possible to replace the third iodine.
