Block splitting during mixed placement

In Table 6.5 and Fig. 6.11, we list the wire length comparison between 2-D and 2.5-D mixed placements. We observe 21.2% and 28.9% reductions in total wire length and worst-case length, respectively. [Pg.138]

The above results suggest that the 2.5-D integration scheme again leads to significant saving when applied to mixed standard cell/macro layout style. In other words, the cell area variance will not affect the feasibility of 2.5-D integration. [Pg.138]
