Bismuth coloristic properties

Bismuth V n d te. The use of lead chromate pigments has been slowly phased out of many appHcations. Thus a search for more environmentally acceptable relatively inexpensive yeHow pigments having exceHent coloristic properties has been ongoing. 

In the following the physical and coloristic properties of a pure bismuth vanadate pigment are given (Sicopal Yellow L 1100, BASE) ... 

Bismuth vanadate is a pigment with a greenish yellow shade. When compared with other yellow inorganic pigments, it most closely resembles cadmium yellow and chrome yellow in its coloristic properties (Figure 3.10).
