Bis PNP Nickel II Tetrafluoroborate

Solid Ni (MeCN)6] (B F4 )2 0.5MeCN (0.62 g, 1.25 mmol) is added to a solution of PNP (0.59 g, 2.50 mmol) in acetonitrile (30 mL). The resulting deep red solution is stirred at room temperature for 1 h. Removal of the solvent under vacuum results in a red powder, which is washed with hexanes (50 mL) and dried in a vacuum. Yield 0.74 g (74%). [Pg.135]
