Bipyridine ruthenium II Dihydrate

A ONE-POT SYNTHESIS OF TETRAHYDRONIUM TRIS(4,4 -DICARBOXYLATO-2,2 -BIPYRIDINE)-RUTHENIUM(II) DIHYDRATE 

Materials. The ligand 4,4 -dimethyl-2,2 -bipyridine (dmbpy) and RuCls 3H2O are obtained from Fluka and Johnson Matthey, respectively. All reagents and solvents purchased are reagent grade and are used without further purification.
