It has been concluded from pKa measurements and fluorine NMR data on pentafluoro-biphenyl derivatives, for example C6F5C6H4CO2H, C6F5C6H4F etc., that the penta-fluorophenyl group inductively withdraws electrons more strongly than phenyl but much less strongly than trifluoromethyl, whilst pentafluorophenyl and pentachlorophenyl have a similar capacity for electron withdrawal [40],... 

The identity of bis pentqfluorophenyl ditellurium obtained by the reduetion of pentafluoro-phenyl tellurium trichloride by zinc in ethanol seems to be uncertain . l,4-Bis[trichlorotelluro]benzene and 2,2 -bis[trichlorotelluro]biphenyl ° were redueed to polymeric ditellurium compounds that were insoluble in organic solvents. 

Vanadium.— Reaction of pentafluorophenyl-lithium with vanadium tetrachloride in diethyl ether and hexane at — 70 °C yields tetrakis(pentafluoro-phenyl)vanadium, which crystallizes as the dietherate at 0 °C. It is very moisture sensitive, yielding pentafluorobenzene and a trace of perfluoro-biphenyl, and with mercuric chloride in tetrahydrofuran yields bis(penta-fluorophenyl)mercury (95%).
